All our suppliers and sub-suppliers must sign our Supplier Code of Conduct, which requires adherence to acceptable working conditions, human rights, health and safety, and environmental and ethical standards.

Not only do we use recyclable materials for our packaging, we also work to reduce waste by using only the minimum amount of packaging necessary.

We’ve optimized our packaging design so more SMART products fit in our shipments, greatly reducing our overall carbon footprint. Fewer shipments means less fuel required for delivering SMART products to our customers around the world.

Environmental Footprint Measurement and Certification

SMART is committed to reducing our environmental impact. The first step on this journey is setting a rigorously measured baseline certified by a third party.

We want to share our journey with you. Here are SMART’s environmental performance reports. They cover Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions and water use. They have been independently verified by UL®, one of the world’s most trusted names in certification.

We don’t stop there. We are launching an audit program to include reporting of our suppliers’ environmental performance.

EPEAT certification

As part of our holistic approach to sustainability, we are undertaking an initiative to get our products EPEAT silver certified.

SMART displays last longer

SMART displays feature significant lifespan: our displays are built to last 50,000 hours.

Exceptional quality means fewer replacements

Our products undergo rigorous Accelerated Life Testing for extreme temperature, humidity, and voltage testing. This means our products break less, lowering e-waste and reducing CO2 emissions caused by unnecessary replacement manufacturing and shipping.
