The Global Pandemic And Remote Learning
The last 12 months have been tough on educators and students worldwide. In our latest white paper, we report how three United Kingdom schools across the primary, intermediate, and high school levels successfully implemented remote learning.
Out of interviews with each school’s technology leader, we found that:
- Successful remote instruction involves interactive synchronous and asynchronous lessons, and a focus on well-being.
- A learning management system is essential.
- Continuous, purposeful, and relevant professional learning makes all the difference.
Educators at all three schools increased their use of Lumio during remote transitions, and interestingly, continue to use it every day, even as students return to face-to-face schooling. The technology leaders of each school noted that interactive software programs such as Lumio enable teachers to connect with all students, encouraging collaboration among peers and active learning, whether students are in remote, hybrid, or face-to-face learning situations.
