We’re thrilled to share that Lumio is partnering up with Tynker! We’ve teamed up to provide free, fun, and interactive coding lesson materials that teach kids how to create a virtual soccer team to compete against other teams around the globe as part of BYJU’s Coding Cup! We’re super excited for this awesome opportunity to connect more students to coding and the great fun of the Coding Cup, which is happening alongside the 2022 FIFA World Cup!
What is Tynker?
Tynker is the world’s leading K-12 creative coding platform, enabling students of all ages to learn to code at home, school, and on the go. It provides tools for building skills and confidence with coding for students aged 4 and up, with programs that students can work through, making coding accessible and fun. It’s an awesome way to teach coding, even if you don’t know anything about it yourself.
Get Involved in BYJU’S Coding Cup
Coding Cup is an activity for teachers who want to enable their students in grades 3-12 to learn to code in a free, fun, and interactive soccer game. It’s a global competition, with prizes to be won. What’s super fun about playing in the Coding Cup is that students don’t control their soccer team with a joystick or game controller. Instead, students’ teams run with the code that THEY write!
Now live in Lumio is a Coding Cup lesson to help you get rocking and rolling (pun intended!) with Tynker’s Coding Cup. Students will learn the fundamentals of programming and apply strategy and tactics in a universally loved sport – just in time for the World Cup!
There’s lots of ways to learn more – find a time for a webinar that works for you, and register to join for a LIVE LESSON during CSEdWeek!
Get ready for CSedWeek and Hour of Code now, all while having fun and supporting students of any age with learning coding.
