Issue
Interactive Gallery items from SMART Essentials for Educators or the Lesson Activity Toolkit, such as the various dice and question flipper, either appear as a gray box, or are surrounded by a gray box.
Cause
Your computer’s color-quality is set lower than 32 bit.
Solution
Set your computer’s color quality to 32 bit color. This procedure differs depending on your computer’s operating system.
To set the computer’s color quality to 32 bit in Windows XP operating system software

Right-click your desktop, and then select Properties.
The Display Properties dialog box appears.

Press the Settings tab, and then select Highest (32 bit) from the Color Quality list.

Press OK to apply the setting.

Press Yes if prompted.
To set the computer’s color quality to 32 bit in Windows Vista operating system software

Open your computer’s Control Panel, and then open the display settings.

Double-click Personalization.
The Personalize Appearance and Sounds window appears.

Press Display Settings.
The Display Settings dialog box appears.

Select Highest (32) bit from the Colors list.
-
Press OK to apply the setting.

Press Yes if prompted.
To set your computer’s color quality to 32 bit in Mac OS X operating system software

Press Apple > System Preferences, and then double-click Display.
The Display window appears.

Select Millions in the Colors list if 256 or Thousands appears.
Background
Some interactive Flash Gallery items are designed using 32 bit color codes. If your computer is set to a color depth lower than 32 bit, it’s not able to interpret these color codes correctly. Any colors, including transparencies, using 32 bit color codes appear as a single color, usually gray.
