Overview

This document provides instructions for focusing the discontinued NEC VT676 projector. Because this projector is modified for use in the Rear Projection SMART Board 2000i interactive whiteboard, you must follow these instructions and disregard the instructions in the NEC Portable Projector VT676 User’s Manual.

Details

The NEC VT676 projector secures upside down on the projector platform and its behaviour differs in two significant ways from the description in the NEC VT676 User’s Manual:

  • The zoom lever doesn’t change the size of the projected image. Instead, it adjusts the focus.

  • The ring doesn’t adjust the focus.

To adjust the focus

Move the zoom lever on the projector until the image comes into focus.

Do not move the ring that surrounds the short-throw, customised projector lenses. if you move the ring, the lenses may separate.
