To reseat the projector lamp
Warning
-
Turn off the projector and wait one hour for it to cool before touching the lamp assembly. Touching a hot lamp assembly can cause severe burns.
-
Wear protective eyewear when servicing the lamp assembly. If the bulb bursts, you could be injured or lose your eyesight.
-
Always handle the fragile lamp assembly with care to prevent premature bulb failure and mercury exposure.
Caution
-
Do not touch any part of the lamp assembly’s bulb with either your fingers or tools. Fingerprints and other contamination can cause premature bulb failure.
-
Do not remove any screws other than those specified in the following instructions.
-
Turn off the projector, disconnect it from the power socket and then wait at least one hour for the lamp assembly to cool.
-
Use a Phillips No. 2 screwdriver to unscrew the captive screw from the lamp cover on the right side of the projector head and then remove the cover.
-
Remove the lamp retention screw (circled in the diagram).
Note
Do not remove any other screws.
-
Pull out the lamp assembly from the projector head just enough to disconnect it from the power connector.
-
Push the lamp assembly back into position in the projector head and then firmly press it into place to fully seat the power connector.
-
Replace the lamp retention screw.
-
Replace the lamp cover and then tighten the captive screw.
To replace the projector lamp
Follow the instructions and safety warnings in the Unifi Lamp Replacement Instructions (document 86269) included with the Unifi 35 projector replacement lamp assembly (Part No. 01-00228).
