Learn and practice how to use the SMART Table interactive learning centre to enhance lessons and facilitate classroom learning.




What to expect?

• You’ll learn and practice how to use the SMART Table interactive learning centre to enhance lessons and facilitate classroom learning


• You’ll learn how to build and customise your own SMART Table activities and how to incorporate them into your lessons


• You’ll practice using the SMART Table from both a student and teacher perspective


• You’ll have hands-on practice opportunities with every task you learn


• The opportunity to collaborate and share with colleagues on tasks that are applicable to your teaching




Session contents

• SMART Table Basics: Become familiarised with the SMART Table, how it works, and how it can be used in your classroom
• SMART Table Applications: Learn about the software applications on your SMART Table, and get a chance to try some of them out
• SMART Table Toolkit: Take a look at the SMART Table customization software and learn how to download ready-made customised activities and applications
• Customised Applications: Learn how to customise each application and create your own customised SMART Table activity
• Integrating the SMART Table in the Classroom: Use the SMART Table with other SMART products to create a complete classroom teaching and learning solution
• Additional Resources: Discover further resources available to help you make the most of your SMART Table and other SMART products in your classroom




You’ll receive

• A SMART Table Training Learner Workbook that includes reference material and step-by-step instructions for every task that you’ll learn during the session




Who should attend?




Any reception to mid-primary teacher whose classroom is equipped with a SMART Table interactive learning centre, and wants to create effective and engaging lesson activities




Customer requirements

• All participants must have basic computer skills prior to attending this session


• A SMART Board interactive whiteboard (necessary for the trainer to deliver the presentation)


• At least on SMART Table interactive learning centre in the session


• A facilitator computer (provided by the facilitator). This computer must connect to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. If your network security prohibits connection of an outside computer, one must be provided.


• Speakers (attached to facilitator computer of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard)


• One computer per learner. Up to 15 learner computers are acceptable


• Every computer must have the SMART Table Toolkit and SMART Notebook collaborative learning software installed for this training session


• Learners should bring specific lesson ideas that apply to SMART Table activities, so they can have something to work on during the session and take home


• All computers running Microsoft Windows operating system


• All computers connected within a LAN. A 10 Mbps TCP/IP network interface adapter is required


• All computers running the most recent version of Adobe Flash


• Internet access
