When you land at the Calgary airport, you're in the northeast quadrant of the city. Downtown is at the center of Calgary's four-quadrant grid. Most key business buildings are in the southwest quadrant and thus have a southwest designation in their address.

SMART Technologies Inc. is in the southwest part of Calgary. It is approximately seven miles south and west of the airport. It is also slightly west and south of the downtown core.
