Issue
Your computer is connected to your SMART Board 800 interactive whiteboard pen tray via a USB cable but no sound is coming from your computer's speakers. The audio and power cables are correctly connected to the pen tray according to specifications.
Solution
Windows operating system
Update SMART Product Drivers
Run SMARTFirmwareUpdater.exe to verify the SMART Board X800 firmware is up-to-date

Remove and then install the SMART Board 800 USB audio driver using Windows Device Manager.
This procedure may vary depending on your version of Windows operating system and your system preferences.
To remove and install the USB audio drivers:
Open the Windows Control Panel, double-clickSystem , click the Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager.
Open to Sound, video and game controllers.
Right-click SMART Board X800 and select Uninstall.
Right-click the computer icon
in the Device Manager menu, and then select Scan for hardware changes and reinstall the driver.
Open the Windows Control Panel, open Sounds and Audio Devices, and then check the Audio tab to verify settings that SMART Board X800 is set as the default device.
Mac operating system software
Update SMART Product Drivers.
Run SMARTFirmwareUpdater.exe to verify the SMART Board X800 firmware is up-to-date.

Verify in the Mac Audio Settings that the SMART Board X800 is set as the default device.
