Updates to Recurring Meetings Display Incorrectly
||SMART Bridgit 4.0 and SMART Scheduler Outlook add-in 4.0
||Windows Vista operating system
If you update the time of a recurring meeting and a meeting in the series has modified details, this update does not appear correctly on your calendar. Also, if the recurring meeting is a SMART Bridgit meeting, the meeting doesn’t start, at the original or the updated time, on the SMART Bridgit Server.
If you send the update, and then open one of the meeting items, the following error message appears: “Cannot open this item. You changed one of the recurrences of this item, and this instance no longer exists. Close any open items and try again.”
If you close and re-open Outlook, the error message doesn’t appear again. However, the meeting items appear at their original times and don’t reflect your recent changes.
The calendars of the people who received the updated meeting details may or may not display the updated meeting time, depending on configuration settings.
Enter the new meeting time again.
To update the recurring meeting for the second time
If you haven’t already done so, close and then re-open Outlook.
Update the details of the recurring meeting.
Re-send the meeting item.
