PowerPoint Video Clips Don’t Display Correctly on the Interactive Whiteboard

SMART Hardware SMART Board interactive whiteboards
Operating Systems Windows operating systems
Other PowerPoint software on a laptop

Issue

A video clip played in PowerPoint on a laptop (as the main or guest computer) doesn’t display correctly on the interactive whiteboard screen, even though it appears correctly on the laptop.

Note

This problem may also occur when playing video in other applications.

Solution

Switch the laptop’s video output to projector only by using your laptop’s function key and “Fx” key so the image is displayed on only the interactive whiteboard screen (the specific function key combination varies depending on the model of your laptop).

Note

Be patient when changing the settings, as some projectors take time to sense the computer's video output and adjust the projected image.
